
The word fight is often thought of as simply a physical alterication. Fights are not always physical. Many people who have faced addiction, loss, and pain fight daily. Every single day they wake up to the pain of their own life beating them down. To not being next to the one that they spent a life coming to know. Or they feel queasy because their last hit wore off while they were passed out.
What is the protocol when you cannot stop fighting, when the fight comes at you quietly and consistently, or everyone that would help you has quit. The entire piece of it is that you don't stop! You fight to get better, you fight to find your way to the end of the bad road.
You swing at the hate that has engulfed your world, you swing and swing... Because stopping; well, that means that your enemy wins. It sounds silly, one quit and it's over? Not always. But when you are pushing yourself and you rest... remember Sisyphus?
